Company
Amadon Group is a fully integrated real estate development group engaging in all facets of development from project conceptualization, site acquisition and design, through to financing, construction and property management.
Amadon Group currently specializes in the development of resort/residential planned communities and the rehabilitation or new construction of advanced mixed-use projects.
These developments are offered in select locations in Canada and the USA.
History
Founded in 1983 by Max Tomaszewski, Amadon’s first project was built, leased and sold within 9 months and since then the company has not looked back. Throughout its existence, Amadon Group has increasingly pursued an integration of strategically located and environmentally enhanced developments that maximize both investment and community value.
With a formidable portfolio consisting of over 35 commercial, residential and industrial projects, Amadon now pursues key resort/residential and mixed-use projects that respond to dominant market and demographic trends.
The group has transformed and registered to heritage designation more historic buildings than any other private entity in the province and has received a BC Heritage Corporate Achievement Award for its downtown Victoria redevelopment of Market Square.

M.W. (Max) Tomaszewski B.Sc. M.Sc. (IA)
Not many people start their own business to get out of debt. But that's what Max Tomaszewski, owner of Amadon Group, did when he arrived in Vancouver in 1983. Born in Poland and raised in Montreal, Tomaszewski earned a master's degree in business and worked at several marketing jobs in Eastern Canada before spending 5 years at Patco Realty in Calgary, then the province's largest private commercial/industrial development company. When it went under, Tomaszewski almost went with it. Instead he moved to Vancouver, borrowed money and incorporated Amadon Group. His first project was leased and sold in nine months flat. Since then Amadon Group has completed over 35 commercial, residential and industrial projects, including the downtown Victoria redevelopment of Market Square, for which it received a BC Heritage corporate achievement award. Among his many projects there is another one on the heritage theme - Powell Lane in Gastown is one of Canada's first "new heritage" buildings.
